Learning about revolver calibers

While I was looking at revolvers, I realized that the only calibers I found were .22 LR and .38 Special. Since I’m still getting the hang of things, I wasn’t sure if that’s typical or if there are other mid-power calibers I should consider.
 
If you ever see a .327 Federal Magnum, check it out. It can shoot lighter .32 rounds all the way up to some more powerful loads. People don't talk about it much but it can do more than you might think.
 
Those are common starters, but there’s plenty between .327 Federal, .357 Magnum, and .44 Special all worth a look..
 
Shops tend to stock the usual suspects. Dig a little and you’ll find the “in‑between” calibers still hanging around
