Tough to beat the M&P…….i carry both 1st gen M&P compacts in both 9 and .40 both have apex duty triggers, I picked up the 9 second hand for cheap. The gun fits well, has a few different sized Palm swell inserts, that should cover most sized hands I would think. It’s plenty compact, and easily concealed…… I’m pretty sure it’s roughly the same size as the M&P 2.0 sub compact (the 2.0 is slightly bigger) haven’t shot a 2.0, but the stock trigger is supposed to be better than its predecessor stock trigger…..might be worth looking into, and as was pointed out the shield is really concealable, thin, great gun as well…..good luck
