I've been carrying my Ruger LCR in .357 Magnum for about 3years now, and it’s my go-to for everyday carry. I know some think revolvers are old-school or that I’m limiting myself with just 5rds, but let me explain why this setup has been so much better for me than any semi-auto I’ve tried. I switched to the LCR after getting fed up with my Glock 43 and its annoying tendency to jam with certain defensive ammo. I found myself more anxious about whether my gun would actually work than feeling confident while carrying it. The moment I picked up the LCR, it just felt right. The smooth double-action trigger, the grip that’s a bit bigger than a J-frame, and the peace of mind knowing it’s going to fire every single time I pull the trigger. It made all the difference for me.
