I will say suppressor normalization. The fact that hearing protection is regulated while unsuppressed guns damage hearing is backwards. Europe figured this out decades ago. The more people realize suppressors are safety equipment, not hitman tools, the better. Let's keep pushing for easier access and lower costs...

Yeah treating suppressors like safety gear just makes sense.

Yes. It definitely makes sense. I'm thinking that referring to them as suppressors rather than "silencers" might help. First... as we know, they don't really silence, but rather only suppress the loud report of a firearm. Second... people tend to relate "silencers" with the nefarious act of a hit-man or assassin. We have to get beyond that for folks to accept them as a helpful tool to save one's hearing rather than an assassin's tool to work undetected.

Suppressors becoming normal? Yeah, I’m with that. Once you shoot with one, it kind of seems like common sense, they’re more about safety than anything flashy. I’d hate to see that trend reverse.
