I'd love to hear about everyone's first handguns. Do you still have it? Mine was a little Ruger Mark II and, honestly, it holds a special place in my heart. Any fun stories or pictures to share?

My very first was back in 1972. A friend of mine gave me an 8-shot Iver Johnson revolver. It was in pretty rough shape, but it worked. Three days later I traded it for a 1967 Pontiac Firebird convertible that needed some TLC. It had a 421 with tri-power. Man I miss that car.

Mine was a Sig P320 Compact w/ the manual safety (back when they were first added to the Massachusetts"roster" and before I knew about frame transfers)... I sold it after I bought my HK VP9K, and sold the VP9K for a Glock 45 MOS.

Now, my first Smith?: A current "dash"/ production S&W Model 617 (won it in a raffle at my LGS). Ended up having so many QC issues with it I traded it for a blued, 2.5" S&W Model 19-5. That started me down a rabbit hole of pre-Lock K-Frames. Recently picked up a Model 67 no-dash to compliment it!

Mine is a model 66-1, 4". LEO trade in when wonder nines were coming around. $150. Still have it and love it!
